recovered

there, managed to find an old copy and restored all my links.

I'm working up at the VSO office today in Balawata (near Bhatbhateni on the map). The King is due back from his travels so there's supposed to be massive protests near the office where I would've been working. We were advised not to go.

The British Embassy's very nice about these things, they routinely send out advisory emails about the current situation. The Canadian Consulate's on the ball as well, but when the revolution and/or earthquake comes, we're getting shipped out on british choppers.

On wednesday all the volunteer orgs were invited to a luncheon at the British Embassy. It was quite the thing. Even the gold-embossed RSVP invitiation was impressive. There was a big buffet on the lawn, the Gurka brigade band played and entertained while all the VSO vols stuffed their faces.
