busy

whoa, been a busy week.

things are settled in, though. i'm healthy (after a rough two weeks, antibiotics and some lost weight), my financial troubles with VSO Nepal have been settled and furniture is slowly, one by one, creeping into my flat and turning it into a home.

My languages lessons have started up again, so i had to go out and buy a kitchen table. Had to get a porter to bring it back to my place. People can carry the strangest things with a strap across their head: fridges, desks, bureaus. Two days ago I biked past a guy with (and i am not making this up), a stack of bound milkcrates about fifteen tall and three deep. that's big.

i would've taken a picture but my camera seems to have stopped working. i think the mirror is stuck, either the motor is gone or rust or sand or something (sorry czarina!). hey, if getting my camera fixed is my biggest worry, i'm happy (malai koosi laagyo) :)

The new volunteers based out of Kathmandu have left to their placements, but the winter conference is coming up ridiculously soon, so i will be seeing them all in three weeks time.

i was going to say, since i'm so busy i won't have time to make a proper entry, but it looks like i've done just that...
